photo by Lindsay Morris at The Watermill Center, October 2023 “With reverence for fantasy, I direct choreographies from a queer Black Brown Trinidadian femme perspective. My creative work harnesses dance, experimental theater, sound, and visual design to frame narratives of eroticism, power, and compassion. I am constantly slowing my mind and unwinding and opening my body to be swayed by everyday, mystical experiences. A good love song makes me cry. I obsessively track and analyze my dreams. Rigor is in my blood. I journal and write short stories and draw and sing. The pull of engaging with other bodies and beings feels undeniable. I am always dancing.”
