Fana is an artist, director and producer whose work is rooted in expressions of eroticism, power, and compassion.

They are currently a PhD student in Critical Dance Studies at University of California, Riverside.

During Fall 2024, Fana was on visiting faculty at Harvard University. Their short film, nesting, commissioned by TBA21-Academy in 2023, is an official selection for the 2025 Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival and has been screened in Sri Lanka, Spain, France, Costa Rica, Barbados, and New York City. Fana was internationally touring Rehearsal Director for Ailey II during 2016-20 and in 2020, she was shortlisted for the BCLF Elizabeth Nunez Caribbean-American Writer's Prize.

Fana has been an artist in residence at multiple locations including: Djerassi Resident Artists Program, The Watermill Center, BAM Fisher Studio, Movement Research, MANCC Forward Dialogues, BAAD! and the Dance & Performance Institute in Trinidad and Tobago.

Her live performance work has been presented at venues including Abrons Arts Center, Brooklyn Museum, Governors Island, New York, and Dance Mission Theater in San Francisco.

As a dancer, Fana has appeared at several venues including: The Little Carib Theater, Brouhaha Liverpool International Street Festival, Greenwich + Docklands International Festival, Holland Dance Festival, New York City Center, Celebrate Brooklyn!, The Los Angeles Music Center, The Banff Centre, The Joyce Theater, Performa 13, The Guggenheim Museum, Frieze New York, Art Basel Miami, The ICA Boston, The National Arts Club, Belfast Festival, REDCAT, and Trinidad Theatre Workshop.
